Terms & Conditions - the basics

Having said that, Terms and Conditions (“T&C”) are a set of legally binding terms defined by you, as the owner of this website. The T&C set forth the legal boundaries governing the activities of the website visitors, or your customers, while they visit or engage with this website. The T&C are meant to establish the legal relationship between the site visitors and you as the website owner. 

 

T&C should be defined according to the specific needs and nature of each website. For example, a website offering products to customers in e-commerce transactions requires T&C that are different from the T&C of a website only providing information (like a blog, a landing page, and so on).     

 

T&C provide you as the website owner the ability to protect yourself from potential legal exposure, but this may differ from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, so make sure to receive local legal advice if you are trying to protect yourself from legal exposure.

What to include in the T&C document

Generally speaking, T&C often address these types of issues: Who is allowed to use the website; the possible payment methods; a declaration that the website owner may change his or her offering in the future; the types of warranties the website owner gives his or her customers; a reference to issues of intellectual property or copyrights, where relevant; the website owner’s right to suspend or cancel a member’s account; and much, much more.

Booking Confirmation & Rental Terms


Once your request has been reviewed and approved, you will receive a confirmation by email and/or text. Please note that submitting this form does not guarantee your requested date or time. Your rental is not confirmed until you receive confirmation from us. You will be provided in an e-transfer email address to pay your booking / deposite fees.


Rental fees are non-refundable once the booking has been confirmed, unless the facility cancels the rental. Requests to change a confirmed booking are subject to availability and approval.


Your rental time must include all setup, event/activity time, and cleanup. Please do not arrive before your scheduled rental time or remain in the facility after your booking has ended unless prior arrangements have been made.


Renters are responsible for:

  • Ensuring all participants and guests use the facility and equipment appropriately and follow posted facility rules.

  • Providing appropriate adult supervision for children and youth participating in the rental.

  • Leaving the gymnasium, washrooms, common areas, and any equipment used clean and in the condition in which they were found.

  • Removing all personal belongings, decorations, garbage, food, and other materials brought into the facility.

  • Any damage, excessive cleaning, missing equipment, or additional costs resulting from the rental or the actions of participants or guests.

  • Ensuring the activity conducted is the activity described on this booking form. Changes to the type of activity, expected attendance, equipment, or setup must be approved in advance.


Please advise us in advance if your rental will involve food or beverages, decorations, outside equipment, amplified music, vendors, or any other special requirements. Alcohol, smoking/vaping, open flames, or other restricted activities are not permitted unless specifically authorized by the facility.


The facility reserves the right to cancel or terminate a rental where facility rules are not followed, unsafe conditions arise, or the facility is being used for an activity other than the one approved.


By submitting this booking request, you confirm that the information provided is accurate and that you have read, understood, and agree to the Booking & Rental Terms.
